Reverend Sarah Carpenter was ordained in 1996 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religion and Philosophy, received a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies in 2000, and was awarded a Doctorate in New Testament Theology in 2006. She was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity for her advocacy work in 2017. She retired in 2012 and is living in Pennsylvania.
A passionate advocate for religious freedom, Rev. Carpenter champions the First Amendment’s call for the separation of church and state, a principle enshrined in the U.S. Constitution since December 15, 1791. Her unwavering commitment to faith, history, and advocacy earned her a Doctor of Divinity in 2017. Today, she continues to inspire from her home in Pennsylvania.
